Signor Lievito is a small sourdough bakery in Milan, run by owner Natalija Nikitina. The bakery’s interior designed by Hannes Peer reflects the same values that guide the baking: natural, balanced, and timeless. Terracotta tiles, birch wood, and soft light create a calm, welcoming space where the counter, café, and open laboratory exist in harmony. Signor Lievito is known for its slow fermentation and Nordic-inspired bakes, such as cardamom, poppy seed buns and cinnamon buns, along with our signature laminated pastries. Natalia’s recipes are shaped by her travels and the places she has called home.
